How to Enable Facebook’s Two-Factor Authentication on Android (October 2018)
On my previous article, I wrote my own opinion about enabling the Two-Factor authentication on each social media platforms to avoid your account being compromised.
In this article, I will show you how to enable the Two-Factor Authentication on Facebook.
Step 1: Login to your Facebook and click on the three Vertical Bars located on the upper right side of your smartphone.
Step 2: Tap on the “Settings” menu then look for “Security and Login” option.
Step 3: Tap on “Use two-factor authentication”.
Step 4: You will be asked to add more security options (Via Text Message or via Authentication prompt using the App.)
Step 5: I would encourage you to select the “Recovery Codes” option as well. This can be used in case you lost your access to the Phone number registered to the two-factor authentication or if you lost your phone. You need to save these codes somewhere only you have access to.
That’s it! It may sound hassle on your part every time you log-in but it is way better than have your account data be compromised.
